Policies and Ancillary Documents

Adopt a custom policy or utilize ancillary documents to clearly establish standard operating procedures and minimze liability.

Use-of-Force Policy

This stand-alone policy is perhaps the most important document a security team should have in place to ensure its members clearly understand the elements and application of self-defense law. If your organization utilizes its own internal security team, this policy, combined with a high level of training and accountability, is a necessary step towards protecting your flock while minimizing liability for your organization and volunteers.

Flock Tactical adopts a common-sense approach to self-defense and works closely with each organization to ensure that its internal use of force policy is well within the relevant legal standards. This creates a buffer between human imperfection and the subjective nature of use-of-force law to ensure that force is only applied when absolutely necessary and in a way that minimizes liability.

Starts at $500

FEMA Nonprofit Security Grant Program Application Assistance

Interested in applying for the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA's) Nonprofit Security Grant Program? We will conduct the vulnerability assessment required by the grant, work with you to identify the most important security projects to request funds for, and complete the application for you.

*In 2025, non-profits are  eligible to compete for up to $200,000 in awards per facility (for a maximum of three facilities). These funds may be allocated towards security projects that protect your church from attacks. Note: you are unable to use grant funds for Flock Tactical services if we prepare the application for you. If you would like assistance with the application while retaining the ability to use grant funds on our services, see our assessments and consulting page for another option.*

Starts at $1,500

*Cost depends on facility size, number of facilities, and scope of the project.*

Comprehensive Security Policy

A Comprehensive Security Policy provides organizations with standards for all aspects of a security program. This policy establishes the security team's culture, mindset, leadership structure, positioning and roles, and includes sections covering use-of-force, physical security, communications, emergency protocols, firearms, medical responses, kids ministry, liability and disclaimer language, and more.

This policy provides an excellent framework with which to structure your security team's ongoing training and allows new members to more easily assimilate current operations. A Comprehensive Security Policy, combined with a high level of training and accountability, is the best way to mitigate liability for your organization and volunteers while providing your team with the standards and procedures necessary to protect your flock.

Starts at $1,500

*A Site Visit or Operational Assessment is recommended prior to drafting a Comprehensive Security Policy.*

Ancillary Documents

Flock Tactical can assist your organization with drafting other supporting documents, such as security team liability waivers or child-care policies, with an eye towards security and/or liability mitigation.

*Cost depends on the scope of the drafting project. Starts around $250 per document.*
